Worker Fatalities – 185 in 2014
WHS 15/02a
Safe Work Australia has the unenviable task of recording information on work-related fatalities. This is completed in an effort to update statistics, prepare reports and identify risk areas to target.
At this stage the information below is a preliminary estimate for the number of people killed while working.
Even though the graph shows that the total number of worker fatalities is decreasing – even one death is too many.
So, as a business in a classified ‘high risk’ industry you need to review your safety practices and identify areas for improvement in 2015 – you don’t want someone from your business to be a statistic this year.
If you need any assistance, contact the Brismark WHS/QA Officer on 3915 4222 or [email protected]. We can help you start afresh this year.
